Praise Estates Farm
We are a small farm in Spartansburg, PA. We raise Scottish Highland Cattle and English Shepherds.

We have raised Highland Cattle since 2009.
The Highlander beef is a healthy choice for your family. It is lean and high in protein and iron.
Studies in the U.S. have shown that Highlander beef is 38% lower in fat content and 4% lower in cholesterol than steaks from local supermarkets.
In October of 2022 we had 10 pure-bred English Shepherd puppies for sale.
English Shepherds are intelligent, alert, responsive working dogs. They are exceptionally devoted and have a strong desire to work in partnership with their owner, whatever the task.
Puppies from our farm are raised around animals and lots of children. They make a great family dog and farm companion.
Please contact us if you are interested in future litters.

About Us
Our farming journey began in the fall of 2008 when my brother gave me some cows. They were Holstein steers – tall and bony! It took much time, food, and infrastructure to keep them warm and growing through the tough winter. I enjoyed the process, but decided to look for a breed that would thrive, not just survive, in cold weather. In 2009, I bought six Scottish Highland cattle.
I set out to grow the finest animals possible. I artificially inseminated my registered cows with champion bulls and began to work on raising the best breeding stock I could. I found so many wonderful benefits from owning Highlanders–I fell in love with them. Not just for the livestock quality either, but also their ability to improve old farmland. When I started this endeavor, the pastures I use were in poor condition. I was surprised by how quickly the Highland cattle improved the land! They tackled the red brush, sumac, and goldenrod in a couple years. Typically these are annoyances that other cows won’t touch. They were no match for our Highland fold. Now, years later, I continue to use my cattle fold to maintain our farmland. This works because the Highland Cattle breed is docile and can be easily trained to move between pastures. I enjoy raising these wonderful animals.
On our small hobby farm, we also raise chickens, ducks, fruit, and vegetables. This takes time and energy but provides our family with an abundance of meat and produce. To me, knowing where your food comes from, being able to get something from your own labor, seeing land improve, and rubbing shoulders with beautiful creatures on a daily basis are benefits that can’t be beat!
